Using clamp-on technology, the DET14C injects a test signal around the earth conductor and measures resistance in multi-ground installations, significantly reducing testing time while maintaining safety.Designed for demanding industrial environments, the DET14C features an innovative elliptical clamp head, providing improved access to earth cables, bonding conductors and earth tapes where space is limited. The clamp accommodates conductors up to 37 mm diameter and earth tapes up to 50 mm wide, making it ideal for substations, power stations, telecommunications sites, commercial buildings and lightning protection systems.Unlike traditional earth clamp testers that use interlocking teeth, the DET14C incorporates flat jaw technology, reducing dirt build-up and helping maintain long-term measurement accuracy with minimal maintenance. An integrated filter also improves measurement stability in electrically noisy environments.In addition to measuring earth resistance from 0.05 Ω to 1500 Ω, the DET14C also measures true RMS AC leakage current from 0.5 mA to 35 A, allowing engineers to safely identify unwanted current flowing through grounding conductors before disconnecting them.For improved productivity, the DET14C stores up to 256 test results, each with a date and time stamp for later review directly on the instrument.
